Pari, one of Anushka Sharma‘s recent productions, is the most talked about horror films this year. The movie with its unusual plot has pushed the envelope of the horror genre in Bollywood.
Because of Pari, the horror genre will be seen in new light in the industry.
The actress has redefined the genre that was at one point, only about scaring the audience by adopting tacky tricks. Now with Pari it has been established that horror can be lot more than just a few scares. The movie also fared decently at the box office. It’s no wonder, the film is reportedly going to be remade in Tamil. “An announcement is expected to happen as soon as the deal is locked. It is a huge success for Anushka,” reveals an industry insider as per an official statement.

This is Anushka’s second film that is being remade in Tamil.
Her first production venture – NH10 garnered critical acclaim on its release. The movie’s hard hitting plot created a stir. It emerged a sleep hit, suggest reports. Soon after, there was buzz about NH10 being remade in Tamil. The news was later confirmed by Trisha who was stepping into Anushka’s shoes in the film titled Garjanai. And now we have Pari in talks for a remake as well. Interestingly, both films that are being remade have been produced by Anushka Sharma.
Like NH10, Pari will also need a star performer who can pull off the role of a ghost convincingly.
Nayanthara who is not new to the genre first comes to mind. Considering her versatility, she is our first choice. Then there’s Trisha who is known to surprise her fans with unconventional films every now and then. Samantha is also another contender because she has played a ghost in Raju Gari Gadhi 2.
