Gold is all set to hit the screens on this independence day 15th August 2018.
It stars Akshay Kumar and Mouni Roy in the lead role.

Fun Party Song ‘Mono Beena’
Akshay and Mouni, who are playing a married couple in the film Gold, have recently shot for a fun party song for the film.
The song’s title is ‘Mono Beena’, and the couple will appear in traditional Bengali avatars in the song.
Tanishk has composed the song ‘Mono Beena’ for Gold.
Tanishk Bagchi who is the composer for the popular songs Tamma Tamma Again, Tere Rashke Qamar (Remake), Humma Humma Song( Remake) and many more hits.
He told the media “The idea to change the lyrics from ‘Mona Lisa’ to ‘Mono Beena’ came from Akshay sir.
He reasoned that it would sound better with a Bengali girl’s name. Reema was also very supportive and told me to immediately lock the idea.”
A debutant singer Yasir has given male vocals to the song Mono Beena, and female singers for the song are Monali Thakur and Shashaa Tirupati.
A Jazz-Oriented Song
Mono Beena is a fun party song, Taniskh Bagchi has given more attention to this song to make it an evergreen song.
He said “It is very jazz-oriented, so I assembled a band that comprised musicians from different acts because we required the live orchestra feel.”
He added “The brief was for a retro but classy number, not an item song. Since the characters are Bengali I thought of bringing in the blues and jazz and we are optimistic the audience will love it”

Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar are the producers, and they are producing the film under Excel Entertainment.
