Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is putting up the naval uniform, which he wore in the film Rustom, for auction. The earnings from the bid will be utilised to support the cause of animal welfare. The National Award-winning actor, who won Best Actor award for his performance in Rustom, tweeted a picture from the film, announcing the news.

Alongside the photograph, Akshay Kumar written:

“Win the original Naval uniform I wore in the movie ‘Rustom’. Bidding closes May 26.”

The current bid is Rs 50 lakhs. You have to bid 500 or higher than the current bid to bag the uniform. You can go to this link to place your bid.

“Rustom”, a period thriller, is directed by Tinu Suresh Desai. It also stars actress Ileana D’Cruz. The film is based on the real life incident of Naval Officer K. M. Nanavati and businessman Prem Ahuja.

On the work front, Akshay Kumar will be featuring in two upcoming films; Kesari and Gold.

The actor is co-producing Kesari with Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.

It is directed by Anurag Singh. Slated for next year release, the film also features Parineeti Chopra in lead role. On the other hand, he has also wrapped up shooting for Gold, which is a historical sports drama directed by Talaash fame Reema Kagti. It stars Mouni Roy, Kunal Kapoor, Vineet Kumar Singh and Amit Sadh apart from the superstar himself. Gold is releasing this year on Independence Day.
