Akshay Kumar is all set to be seen in Gold, which has been directed and written by Reema Kagti. Gold releases on August 15, 2018.
Gold is an upcoming 2018 Indian hindi-language historical period sports drama directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the Excel Entertainment banner.
It stars Akshay Kumar, Mouni Roy, Kunal Kapoor, Vineet Kumar Singh, Amit Sadh, and Sunny Kaushal.
It is a fictional story set on the backdrop of true incidents about India winning its first gold medal in field hockey as a free nation in the 1948 summer olympics.
Akshay Kumar whose last film was Padman which was based on a social cause is again back with another film Gold.
With the movie nagin actress Mouni Roy will debut in the bollywood industry.
The movie will go on silver screen on Independence day that is 15 August.

Reema Kagti is the director of Gold. For the uninitiated, the film tells the story of India’s first gold media after independence at the Olympics.
Gold’s trailer was released last year which left everyone speechless. Akshay and team shot for the movie in London and Patiala and have had a blast quite literally.
