So here is an interview of him.
Don’t you think this is more of your space your previous films?
It is. Every actor has a grain. When you feel that an actor has done phenomenally well or if they have hit the spot is when they are cast in the grain. I feel till now I wasn’t cast in my grain. In Pink, the internal battle and the arrogance is not my grain. In Inside Edge, that righteousness of the captain is also not my grain. I came closer to myself in Soorma. I have a life in me, I’m emotional and I have a funny bone in me. I’m slightly more energetic.
The story is on two brothers, Sandeep Singh and Bikramjit Singh and the difference between their ages is a year and a half. So, it is the elder brother’s sacrifice which makes Sandeep Singh what Sandeep Singh is. The elder brother was the best drag flicker in the country, he was an explosive player. But due to some problem, he didn’t go ahead. For him, he loves his younger brother, Sandeep played by Diljit more than his family. For him, his younger brother is like his own son that is what his motivation was, that if I didn’t play, I will bloody well make sure that my brother plays.
How was your Experience working with Diljit Dosanjh for the first time?

Is it a Good or a bad change after playing supporting characters?
Yes, it’s a good space to be in. I needed to finally be slotted in a two-hero space. It is important because even though it is a slow and steady rise but the rise is there. I’m sure you must have realised it, but look at the synergy around the actors now. First, it was the actor who was bigger than the film. In some cases it is still there, like Salman Khan brings a certain audience, Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Kahn also do that. No other actors apart from these three are bigger than the project. So now when films are being made not keeping other actors in mind then the projects are getting bigger than the actors. And for people like me it’s a plus.
Will you still be open to play a smaller role in a big film?
Why not? The length of the role doesn’t matter to me at all, the impact of it matters. Like even if after Soorma, somebody comes up to me and says let’s cast you in Pink in the same way, we will give you those three scenes with Mr. Amitabh Bachchan in the same way, I’ll still say yes to it.

I’m here to work and I don’t mind building my portfolio one step at a time but I need to keep on working. I’m today in the web space also with Inside Edge which is backed by Excel entertainment. It’s a super series and we are going into the second season. I might also work with another big producer on the web front. Even if you see a watchman or your helper at home, they are sitting and watching something on their phone. So if I am available to them on the phone, you can imagine the kind of market that I’m tapping into. I realised that when Pink came on Netflix and after that when I came on Inside Edge, the youngsters between 15 – 25 are sitting home and watching all of this. I just want to keep doing more and more interesting work.
