Sunny Leone wanted to bring her life story on the screen. The title of her movie is Karenjit Kaur; The Untold Story Of Sunny Leone. But the Sikh Community are asking her to Omit the word ‘Kaur’ from her title.

In the trailer Sunny was shown as a stubborn chick who want to fulfill her wishes.

It showcased how Sunny earned money just to prove her father that she can earn too.

Sunny don’t have any right to use the title Kaur;

After the trailer was released with the title Karenjit Kaur;The Untold Story Of Sunny Leone.

Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has raised objections against the usage of ‘Kaur’ in the title of this web series.

Diljit Singh Bedi, SGPC’s additional secretary and spokesperson, had told,

“that the usage would hurt Sikh sentiments as Sunny did not follow the teachings of the Sikh gurus.

Hence, she had no right to use the title “Kaur”.

Responding to the objections the Director Aditya Datt said,”I completely respect the Sikh community…

I am a Punjabi myself…. but it’s surprising that in today’s modern day and age there is an objection to using one’s own family name, which is one’s birthright… and for what?

The series is based on truth and facts related to Sunny’s life, including her family and early life…

how does one change the truth? And why?”

She refused to comment on the statement and tweeted,
