Urvashi Rautela, who was attending an event in Mumbai, was shocked to discover that a fake Aadhar card has been used to book a room at a five star hotel in her name. According to a report in a reputed tabloid, the Aadhar card did not belong to her and neither did she make any bookings at the said five star hotel in Bandra.

Fake Aadhaar used to book hotel room
However, when a hotel employee told her about her room, Urvashi approached the Bandra police and lodged a complaint. As a police source revealed to the tabloid, “Around 10:30 pm on Tuesday, a hotel employee told her that a room was booked in her name. She denied having done so and immediately went through the hotel’s booking details. It was found that the booking was done online.”
Police registered a case under section 420
After Urvashi narrated the whole incident, the Police registered a case under section 420 (cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) and a few other relevant sections of the IT act. Paramjit Singh Dahiya, DCP (Zone 9) confirmed to Mumbai Mirror that an FIR has been registered, while another police official added, “Investigators are also scanning the IP address records to find from where the
booking was done.”
