The year 2018 couldn’t have been better so far for South actress Samantha Akkineni.
She has made a hat trick with successful films like Rangasthalam, Mahanati and Irumbu Thirai.
At a time when she is on such a career high, reports suggesting the actress might quit films is leaving her fans disappointed.
What is giving rise to such speculations?
Well it’s supposed to be something she had said in an early interview. “When I have a child, that child is going to be my universe. I had the greatest respect for working mothers. My childhood was not very rosy. For all adults, who haven’t had a very rosy childhood, the first thing they will tell you is that they want to give their child everything that they did not have. That’s something that has stuck with me. So I think the first few years after I have a child, I would not be anywhere. That child will be everything for me,” she had said. Samantha settled in marital bliss last year as she exchanged wedding vows with Naga Chaitanya.
Is she planning to start a family anytime soon?
Will she take a break from films to embrace motherhood? It has been a couple of months since the actress hasn’t signed any new film. Samantha has completed shooting for Seema Raja, Super Deluxe and Tamil-Telugu bilingual U-Turn. Recently, she joined hands with hubby Naga Chaitanya for a film directed by Shiva Nirvana. Reports also suggested that this untitled film could be her last film before she takes a break. However, here’s some good news for her fans as her manager has dismissed all these speculations. “Three films are in the production stage and she is ready to sign a few more soon. She is going to busy in the coming years,” Deccan Chronicle quoted her manager as saying.
As we all know that this actress is super talented and if report is to be believed, apart from Telugu films, the actress is also taking up Tamil projects and is going to be busy for quite some time. Until Samantha makes some announcement about starting a family, rumours around her film career can rest.
