Kalki Koechlin has worked for both the french and Indian Cinema, she has contibuted to the connection of both the countries cinema.

Ordre des Arts et des Lettres: Chevalier (Knight) Degree for Kalki

The Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Order of Arts And Letters) is an Order of France, established on 2 May 1957 by the Minister Of Culture.

Its further status to the Ordre national du Merite was confirmed by President Charles de Gaulle in 1963.

Its purpose is the recognition of significant contributions to the arts, literature, or the propagation of these fields.

The Order has three grade, first is Commandeur (Commander) — medallion worn on necklet.

Second is Officier (Officer) — medallion worn on ribbon with rosette on left breast.

And third is Chevalier (Knight) — medallion worn on ribbon on left breast.

Kalki will be conferred with the third grade that is Chevalier (Knight).

She has French roots, has featured in movies like Dev.D, That Girl in Yellow Boots, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Margarita with a Straw, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and A Death in the Gunj.
