The Dhak-Dhak girl of Bollywood – Madhuri Dixit is all set to portray the character of a dance teacher in the upcoming film cross-border period drama Kalank.
Reportedly, the 50-year old actress will be seen teaching Alia Bhatt and Kiara Advani in the film.
As per the Mid-day report, a source revealed, ”Madhuri who is known for her dancing skills, will be seen playing mentor to Bhatt and Advani’s character. In fact, Advani is only making a cameo appearance in a special song. Madhuri is undergoing rigorous preparation for the role.”

Apparently, Madhuri and Alia will shoot for a dance number in the film.
”Madhuri and Alia will start rehearsing for the dance number in a month’s time,” the source confirmed. Kalank features the ensemble the star cast of Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Kunal Kemmu and Sonakshi Sinha.

The film is produced by Karan Johar under his banner Dharma Productions.
It is directed by Abhishek Varman, who previously helmed Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer 2 States. The film is set to hit the screens on April 19 during the Good Friday weekend.

On the work front, Madhuri Dixit is gearing up for her debut Marathi film titled Bucket list.
The film is directed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar and also features Renuka Shahane, Sumeet Raghavan and Shubha Khote in pivotal roles. It is set to hit the screens on May 18. Coming to her Bollywood front, the actress will be seen in Indra Kumar’s Total Dhamaal. The comedy caper also stars Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Jaaved Jafferi and Sanjai Mishra in pivotal roles. It is scheduled to hit the screens on December 7.
