Many B-Town Stars Sued by an Indian- American Promoter

According to a report from Media House,

a Chicago based Indian-American promoter, Vibrant-Media Group has filed a lawsuit against actor

Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Sonakshi Sinha , Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar and Prabhu Deva for breach of contract.

The lawsuit alleges that these actors refused to perform at a concert despite taking money from them.

All these actors were supposed to perform at a concert which was to be held in September 2013 whereby marking

‘Celebrating 100 years of Indian Cinema’.

Apart from these actors, the Vibrant-Media Group has even named their agencies;

Matrix India Entertainment Consultants Private Limited and Yashraj Films Private Limited in their lawsuit.

The group person told Media house,

“All calls to Mr Khan, his agents, and other artists, for the return of the funds have gone unanswered.”

The Amount that have been paid to them

 

As per the Report, The group had paid USD 200,000 to Salman Khan, USD 40,000 Katrina Kaif and USD 36,000 to Sonakshi Sinha.

They also claims that these stars not only failed to honour their commitments but also even failed to return the deposit they had received for their performance.

The group is now seeking damages of around 1 USD million.

Even other celebrities like Udit Narayan, Alka Yagnik, and Usha Mangeshkar have been sued by this Indian-American promoter.

Vibrant Media Group filed the lawsuit on June 10 before Northern District Court of Illinois, Eastern Division.

The case has been assigned to District Judge Sharon Johnson Coleman.
