Anurag Kashyap is all set to direct ‘Womaniya’, starring Taapsee Pannu in the lead role, Anurag is still searching for other starcasts also.

According to the sources, Kriti Sanon was the first choice for the film, but now the news is Bhumi Pednekar is replacing Kriti Sanon to play lead role in the film.

Bhumi Pednekar a Right Choice For ‘Womaniya’

Bhumi will be next seen in the film Sonchiriya.

Sonchiriya also casts Sushant Singh Rajput, Manoj Bajpayee, Ashutosh Rana and Ravir Shorey.

Bhumi might play lead in Womaniya along with Taapsee Pannu.

While Tapsee Pannu is confirmed to play lead in the film.

Bhumi is best known as a versatile actress.

As she marked her debut with Dum Laga Ke Haisa and after that she gave tremendous performances in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Shubh Mangal Saavdhaan and Lust Stories.

She is definitely a right choice for Womaniya, as in the film the lead characters have to play a village based shooter.

And Bhumi knows how to be like one, as she is playing a rural based dacoit in Sonchiriya.

Earlier Kriti Sanon was selected for the film, but because of her dates issues she was not able to sign the film with Anurag Kashyap.

Kriti is busy with many movies Panipat, Housefull 4, Luka Chuppi.

Anurag Kashyap’s womaniya is based on the Indian Shooter from Uttar Pradesh Chandro Tomar And Prakashi Tomar.

They are popularly known as Revolvar Dadi or Shooter Dadi.

Not only Bhumi is being considered for the film, but Disha Patani is also on the list of Anurag.

More Likely, according to the versatality Bhumi will play the lead.
