B- Town actor Ranbir Kapoor is currently on cloud nine thanks to the humongous success of his latest release Sanju.
The 35-year old actor recently had been on a signing-spree, where he signed three projects back to back and out of one is Shamshera.
Now the makers of the film, YRF has announced the official release date of the action-adventure drama is set to hit the screens on July 31, 2020.
Expected to be a desi, high-octane masala film.
An edge of the seat adventure, Shamshera is set in the heartland of India and will have jaw-dropping action sequences and a never seen before Ranbir Kapoor.

Sanjay Dutt to play a ruthless villain
On the other hand, Sanjay Dutt will play a ruthless villain in the film.
Talking about Shamshera, Ranbir had earlier said, “Shamshera is exactly the film I was looking for.
While growing up watching Hindi commercial cinema, I had an image of what a film hero should be doing.
Shamshera allows me to do everything that I had imagined and it’s a very exciting project for me.
Karan is going to take me completely out of my comfort zone and I’m looking forward to this challenge.”

Shamshera also features Befikre girl Vaani Kapoor in a lead role. The film is directed by Karan Malhotra, who previously helmed films like Agneepath and Brothers. It is set to go on the floors end of this year and shooting will wrap by mid-2019. On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor is currently shooting for Brahmastra along with girlfriend Alia Bhatt. The film is directed by Ayan Mukerji and also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy in pivotal roles.
It is set to release on August 15, 2019.
