Salman Khan has been granted bail in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case by the Jodhpur sessions court. This update has come as a major relief for fans who have been praying fervently for the actor and have showing unflinching support in the last two days.

The next hearing for the case will be heard on May 7th.

The actor will reportedly leave jail this evening after the bail bond is verified. The actor had been in jail for the last two days. His hearing that was to take place yesterday got pushed to Saturday as the judge wanted to see the previous records of this case. Soon after the news was out, that the session court Judge Ravindra Kumar Joshi involved in this case was transferred along with 86 other judges. But these judges were given 7 days before being shifted and thus the hearing was heard out by the same judge.

The actor cannot travel outside the country without the permission of the court.

It was on Thursday 5th April, the Jodhpur court had sentenced Salman Khan to five years of imprisonment for hsi invovlement in the blackbuck poaching case. The verdict had left fans in shock who could understand why Salman Khan was found guilty while the others – Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre and Tabu were acquitted.

But on hearing that the actor had got bail, fans are now celebrating big time.

Bollywood celebrities including Neil Nitin Mukesh, Subhash Ghai and Sonu Sood, soon erupted in joy on Twitter and shared their happiness.

Neil Nitin Mukesh, who has worked with Salman in megahit Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo, shared that they support the Bollywood superstar. “And he finally gets Bail. @BeingSalmanKhan more strength to you bhai. Believe in the power of justice and the God above. #WeSupportSalmanKhan,” he wrote on Twitter.

While the bail plea order pronouncement was delayed as took time to type out the order, Judge Ravindra Kumar Joshi has, at the time of publication entered the courtroom and is likely to pronounce the decision over Salman Khan’s bail plea application. As per reports Salman Khan has been granted bail on surety of Rs. 50,000.
