Started her bollywood career with 2016 superhit ‘Dangal’ opposite Aamir Khan. Sanya recently signed her career’s forth film with director Vishal Bhardwaj.
Sanya’s first three films
Dangal girl Sanya Malhotra has wrapped two films- ‘Badhaai Ho’ opposite Ayushmann Khurana and ‘Photograph’ opposite Nawazuddin Siddique.
Badhaai Ho is a comedy-drama while ‘Photograph’ about Mumbai tale. Both these projects are different from each other.
Sanya’s debut film was ‘Dangal’ where she played daughter of Aamir Khan’s Character.
Dangal was the biographical sports drama film directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Aamir Khan under Aamir Khan Productions.
Dangal is based on the Phogat family, telling the true story of Mahavir Singh Phogat an amateur wrestler, who trains his daughters Geeta and Babita to become India’s first international female wrestlers.
Sanya Malhota played the character of Babita Phogat, Aamir played Mahavir Phogat and Geeta Phogat’s character was portrayed by Fatima Sana Shaikh.
Fourth Film Is Similar To Dangal ?
Vishal Bharadwaj’s movie is named as ‘Chhuriyaan’ which is Sanya’s fourth film is the comedy-drama which is a story on the life journeys of two sisters.
Dangal also depicted story of two sisters Geeta and Babita, is Chhuriyaan is similar to Dangal ?
Sanya Malhotra is excited as she is getting more and more movies, she said “I’m working with great directors and actors, and I’m getting to learn so much about the process of acting. I’m extremely grateful for these experiences.”
She further added “I have stopped making career plans; they never seem to work out for me. So, I’m going with the flow, enjoying each day of being an actor. I don’t want to restrict myself and want to work in all genres of cinema. Perhaps I can do a romance or even a horror film soon.”
