Shah Rukh Khan and Director Shimit Amin worked together in Chak De! India. Now according to reports they are going to collaborate for a new film.
Director Shimit Amin’s association with megastar Shah Rukh Khan goes back to 2007.
The two came together for the sports drama film ‘Chak De! India’,
That turned out to be a blockbuster at the box office.

India’ remains one of the memorable ones! And ever since then,
the fans have desired to see the dynamic duo collaborate again for another project.
Chak De! India is considered as Shah Rukh Khan’s one of the best performances.
Released in 2007, SRK essayed the role of Indian Women’s Hockey team coach Kabir Khan in this Shimit Amin directorial.
Now sources revealed that Shah Rukh Khan and Shimit Amin might reunite for their next project.
The film is said to be a two-hero project.
When Chak De! India clocked decade!!
A source informed, “Last year when Chak De! India clocked a decade,
Shah Rukh reconnected with Shimit.
It was then that the latter discussed a concept he had in mind for Khan.
The superstar liked it and asked him to work on it further.
When Shah Rukh returned to Mumbai last week after wrapping up Zero’s US schedule,
the two met again to discuss the progress on the script.
Shah Rukh is keen on the project and is likely to produce it as well.”
The film is rumoured to be a period drama.
However, the director is yet to confirm the news.
SRK is apparently a part of Karan Johar’s next and the film Salute.
Shimit Amin’s upcoming two hero project;
The source added, “He wants the film to be a departure from his romantic hero image.
It will also feature a younger hero as a parallel lead.
Though Ayushmann Khurrana is said to be in talks,
The final casting call will be taken only after SRK comes on board.”
The source also added that the two are still in talks and if everything falls into place
fans will surely get a treat from SRK and Shimit once again after all these years.
On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in Aanand L. Rai’s ‘Zero’ which also features Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.
The film is slated to release on December 21 this year.
