Shah Rukh Khan Will Finally Star In Rakesh Sharma Biopic, Saare Jahaan Se Achcha – Officially Confirmed.
Here comes the official confirmation we all wanted to hear!
There were speculations if Shah Rukh Khan will give his nod to an astronaut, Rakesh Sharma’s biopic.
While we read reports of him coming on board for this big project, here’s the confirmation from Ronnie Screwvala.
Producer Ronnie Screwvala in his recent conversation with a media house was asked if Shah Rukh Khan is a part of that project.
And he simply said ‘Yes.’ His confirmation finally puts an end to all the speculations and even the curiosity
Though the producer has formally declared King Khan being a part of his biopic, he insists that an official announcement will be made soon.
Earlier we read reports that the movie will go on floors in February 2019 and the announcement for the same will be made towards the end of this year
For the ones who don’t know, Aamir Khan was earlier approached for this biopic and he was even willing to star in it.
The actor was then paired opposite Priyanka Chopra. However, after the lead pair’s exit, Shah Rukh Khan came on board and there are rumors of Bhumi Pednekar replacing Priyanka Chopra for the same movie.
While the news of the Zero actor being a part of the project is confirmed, we wait to hear which lucky actress will share the screen space with him in it.
Rakesh Sharma is the only Indian citizen who travelled in space.
Rakesh Sharma is a former Air Force Pilot who flew aboard Soyuz T-11 in 1984, as part of a joint program between the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and the Soviet Intercosmos space program.
He spent 7 days 21 hours and 40 minutes in space and when then Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had asked Rakesh Sharma how India looked from the space, he, said, ‘Saare Jahaan Se Achcha’. Hence, the title of the film.
The movie was earlier titled ‘Salute’.
