When it was announced that Madhuri Dixit will make her debut in Marathi cinema, her fans (including us) got super excited. And now that the first teaser of the film, which is titled as Bucket List has been dropped, all the excitement is at an all time high.

It’s a delight to watch Madhuri on the screen every time.
We are so used to see her in Hindi movies that we forget that she is actually comes from a Marathi family. So it’s surprising that she never acted in a Marathi film all these years. But as they say, it’s better late than never.
In the film, she plays Madhua Sane, a homemaker, who takes every care of her family including her kids, her husband (played by Sumeet Raghavan), and her mother-in-law. She is happy, but someone enters her life and then all she wants to do is complete her bucket list.

In a statement to the media, Madhuri had said, “It is a story of every household yet it has a silver lining. It not only gives you hope and inspiration but also encourages you to live life in the true sense. The most fascinating factor for me to choose it is that it is going to carve a niche in everyone’s heart.” Madhuri is also producing a film directed by Swapnaneel Jayakar. “Marathi cinema is evolving so beautifully and seeing such incredible stories being told makes me beam with pride. I have received a number of scripts over the years since doing a Marathi film was always something I was open to. But the scripts didn’t excite me as this one did,” she stated.
