Few days ago, during the music launch of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Sonam Kapoor starrer film ‘Veere Di Wedding’, Kareena shared a confusing opinion on Feminism. For her statement on Feminism, she got trolled on social media. In her statement she marked that she don’t believe in feminism but she support equality. Netizens trolled Kareena for her comment on feminism and there were many memes that ended up doing the rounds of the internet.

“I believe in equality but I wouldn’t say I am a feminist”:

After her pregnancy, ‘Veere Di Wedding’ is her first film and she looked as sexy as before in the film. She maintained her wait and came back with a bang and did a splendid performance in multi starrer film ‘Veere Di Wedding’. But, In a media interaction Kareena had happened to make a confusing comment on feminism. She said, ” I believe in equality but I wouldn’t say I am a feminist.”

I am as proud to be known as Saif Ali Khan’s wife:

Kareena Kapoor is so witty when she talks to Media. She spoke to Media very clear in her mind and thoughts As her statement was represented in wrong way, she got trolled by netizenz on social media. During media interaction she further added, “I am as proud to be known as Saif Ali Khan’s wife, as I am to be Kareena Kapoor. That’s just the way I am. The fact is, I do believe in equality. I do believe it takes a man and a woman to set an example. If you don’t have support from a man and vice versa, it would be difficult to have a family. I don’t want to get associated with any ‘isms’..I mean, why does something have to have a name or a tag?”

Most people think that feminism means male bashing:

After her statement, trollers even advised her to  to look up the dictionary to get the definition of feminism. Then Actress asked everyone who trolled her for her remarks on feminism. In a media interaction Kareena Kapoor clarified all. She said, “What was wrong in the feminism statement? I’d still say that I believe in equality and there’s nothing wrong in it. Most people think that feminism means male bashing and it makes women superior. That’s what they’ve always meant, otherwise why would they be fighting on Twitter every time. However, I would also like to add, that in a way, I am a bit of a feminist but I am a feminist in the right way. I’m not trying to say that men are lesser, because they are not. I believe it takes two to tango in any kind of a relationship. But then, main kuch bhi statement bolun, trolls toh shuru ho jate hain (whatever I say, trolling will start), especially when it comes to feminism.”
