Air Marshal Hemant Sharma, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief (AOC-in-C), Maintenance Command visited Air Force Liaison Establishment (AFLE) Lucknow from 20 to 21 Mar 2018.  He was accompanied by Mrs Kusum Sharma, President, Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Regional). The dignitaries were received by Gp Capt RK Sharma, Commanding Officer, Air Force Liaison Establishment, Lucknow and Mrs Aruna Sharma   President AFWWA (Local).

During his visit the Air Marshal Hemant Sharma was briefed about the role of AFLE which involves receipt, storage, maintenance and other aircraft related spares management. It also acts as an interface between IAF and HAL besides providing advice on defect investigations, certain development projects and modification to current range of aircraft products dealt by HAL-ADL.

Sharma is well-versed with front-line fighter aircraft in Indian Air Force.

 

Air Marshal Hemant Sharma visited various theaters of production sites in the unit and deliberated on the operational preparedness as well as future perspective plans with the Officers and staff of AFLE (LD).

During his interaction with the personnel, the Air Marshal reiterated the importance of upholding military ethos and discipline. He expressed his satisfaction on the synergized functioning of the unit and whole hearted support rendered by HAL.
