As already written in my earlier articles that the physical activities are as essential as obtaining knowledge, among them playing sports are the highest level of physical activity. By playing something or doing some physical activities nation can be made healthier and can also decrease the number of medical patients. Sports play a vital role in promoting economic and social development, it enriches peoples intellectual and cultural life, the nation like America, China, Germany, France etc. those are higher in the medal tally at Olympic are also superior in the prosperity and progress. It is also being observed that when the place starts producing fine sports persons then the place begins the path of prosperity which means the welfare of the place is directly related to the sports.
As tennis player I have seen that these days the senior players who have become tennis coaches are doing a great job in the field of tennis by producing the national and international level players. These coaches Kamlesh Shukla, Narendra Chaudhary, Rayez Ahmad, Irfan Ahmad, Rishi Sharma, Saif Iqbal, Amit Tilak, PrateekTyagi, Varun Walliya etc. are producing fine tennis players at the different tennis Centers at Lucknow, Prayagraj, Jaipur, Mumbai, Indore, Dehradun etc. One thing is very significant to note that these coaches are running tennis centres with the collaboration and contract with different colleges/parks/ private land and they are preforming exceptionally well. These coaches are self-employed and also providing jobs to the number of peoples and I personally know so many of them who have got the job abroad but their spirit to work for the country restricted them to remain here in our country.
Since these coaches have themselves played tennis at the highest level in the country, therefore they are technically very sound, well aware with the latest technique, regularly attending seminars and conferences and enhancing their intellect level which can be utilised at the maximum level. The Government is having their colleges and affiliated Colleges at all the places in the country even at a very remote place also. The playground/ field of these colleges can be given to senior sports man/ coaches on contract basis for running the sports academy’s for producing the players from the city as well as from the remote areas. The senior players will get the employment and their expertise shall be utilised in a positive manner. I have witnessed that now a days Government is focusing more on the development of sports which is a welcome step through which the atmosphere of playing sports will be created and the medal Tally may in various sports competitions may increase manifold.
The sports Organisations/ Federations/ Association are also requested to pursue at their level for getting the space so that the sports activities professionally and systematically may be initiated at highest level throughout the Country. Further Associations should also pursue for the sponsors as well as governments for initial setup of these sports centres. The George F. Will, commentator and author has said “Sports serve society by providing vivid examples of excellence.”
