World Hepatitis Day: SKD Academy Raised Awareness of viral Hepatitis 

World Hepatitis Day,observed on July 28 every year,aims to raise global awareness of Hepatitis- a group of infectious diseases. Due to this,all the five branches of SKD Academy came together under one single theme in order to raise awareness of viral hepatitis. A assembly was organized for students in which they were told about the impact of viral hepatitis, the theme for world hepatitis day 2018 is “Eliminate Hepatitis”.

World Hepatitis Day:

• Aims to raise global awareness of hepatitis — a group of infectious diseases known as Hepatitis A, B, C, D, and E — and encourage prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
• Furthermore,Hepatitis affects hundreds of millions of people worldwide, causing acute and chronic disease and killing close to 1.4 million people every year.
• In addition,World Hepatitis Day is one of eight official global public health campaigns marked by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Awareness Raised By SKD Academy:

• On this occasion students and teachers of SKD Academy performed many activities to promote “Eliminate Hepatitis” and how to protect the society from this virus.
• They also visited in different localities to spread awareness through campaign.
• Director Mr. Manish Singh while addressing the students told about hepatitis, its types, causes.
• Furthermore,its symptoms, preventive, measures and treatment.
• It was an enriching session and the significant step towards spreading awareness about hepatitis.
