63 UP BN NCC, Lucknow ( UP )Girls Wing Celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas
On the occasion of Kargil Vijay Diwas, 63 UP BN NCC, Lucknow ( UP )Girls Wing Celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas with the blessings of Prof Alok Kumar Rai, the Vice Chancellor, University of Lucknow and under the guidance of Col Sumit Puri (Commanding Officer, 63 UP BN), Col PP Kishore ( Adm. Officer 63 UP BN ). Capt. Kiran Lata Dangwal coordinated this programme to pay tribute to the Sacrifice of all the Superheroes of Kargil War. Captain Kiran Lata Dangwal, ANO ( 63 UP Bn) inaugurated the event and welcomed the Chief Guest – Dr. O.P.Shukla , Head, Department of defence studies , University of Lucknow.
To commemorate the occasion a tribute was paid to the Kargil martyrs at Kargil Smarak by Staff and Cadets of 63 Battalion NCC.
Dr OP Shukla highlighted the course of events leading to the Kargil War while Col PP Kishore enlightened the NCC cadets regarding the gallant action by our Armed forces in evicting the enemy from seemingly insurmountable heights. The ultimate sacrifice of the war heroes in laying their lives for the protection of motherland was also amply highlighted. Few Cadets gave insiring speeches to mark the occasion.
All the girl Cadets took part in the event enthusiastically and showcased so many beautiful painting, poetries and videos during the event and paid their tribute to the Immortals.
